I don't know the answer to your last question but I surely know that this pic DOES indeed merit posting, Ted. Somehow it feels very warm and cozy.
But for the water, I don't think I would have bothered with it. Another version has just one window and the water. On the day I shot that one, the water was frozen. Both have virtues. As indicated, I'm not sure their virtues are enough to interest others.
