PHOTOGRAPHER'S JOURNAL: While walking in a wooded valley in Sharon, Connecticut last week I met these bacchants - sylvan apparitions orbiting human imagination.
Bacchus and Maenad - lovely portrait. Only in the forests of the northwest hills would these statues be untouched by graffiti. A folly worthy of an English garden!
I've been making photographs since childhood. Photography has become a way for me to explore the place I live and places I visit, but I know there's much to be seen in my own back yard. My favorite travel is through time.
This blog is a discipline and challenge to myself. However, I always welcome hearing how these posts touch those who visit.

Hi Ted! What a valley... Just like that, around the corner... Amazing!!
Blogtrotter Two has moved to a new country and actually to the most populated city in Africa. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Trotter - Thanks for the visit. Yes, just as you see it. More to come.
Jane - Actually, better placed in a Roman villa than an English garden, but the English were always eclectic. I'm glad they were here.
