She lumbers up the hill
Once spry,
Now heavy, awkward,
hirsute and laden with flies.
Culled from the herd
Her differences noted.
Sad, alone
She seeks friendship
And could adore
The human in the field
Alas, cross-specie relationships
Do not endure.

Interesting quote! I must confess that when Adenauer was alive, I had no idea that he would come out with such a sentence... ;)
