H. E. Clark: "He carefully picked his cast of clouds, watched them intently as they swirled in before the lens and hoped the sun would break in concert."
Thanks. The shot is taken from a high rock behind the lighthouse. Had I been quicker in finding my way there, the sun cast a beautiful shadow of the lighthouse that stretched our across rocks between it and me.
Thanks. It was an amazing shadow leading right to the tallest pile of rocks. I'd been trying to get up there all afternoon and finally gave up. Then I saw it was more perfect than I could have dreamed and decided to try again. I got there just before it was completely too late. Time for the Andante Cantabile from Beethoven's Op. 18-5.
I've been making photographs since childhood. Photography has become a way for me to explore the place I live and places I visit, but I know there's much to be seen in my own back yard. My favorite travel is through time.
This blog is a discipline and challenge to myself. However, I always welcome hearing how these posts touch those who visit.

Even if you were a bit late, the picture is gorgeous!
