PHOTOGRAPHER’S JOURNAL:
Still Time
How deeplyin our DNAis time embedded? How closelyis the steady pulse of day to night to daysynchronized with the pumping of our blood? Some saythe cycles of the moonthread our dreams like the tide, but for 150 yearsit is the face of a clockthat time has worn.Railroads and factoriestuned us to standard timeand everything else fell into step.It is not clear to mewhat happened at this station, but it is clear it happened punctually.Sometimes a clockis the only trace that marks a spot of floor by a column or a window, once a work station where someone spent the better part of a lifetime..."Lifetime!"
